The musical underground as an art testifying what is outside the framework of Soviet cultural mainstream 1980s and 1990s to various extent considered in article. It proved that concept correlates with notion alternative official party scene totalitarianism, often confused related sixties. emphasized a form protest art, art. determined can be, fact, political, aesthetic, artistic. characterizes artistic surroundings which artist lives. has appeared on territory Ukraine since after all complex transformations those taking place academic (opera symphony) final legalization jazz, rock, eco-jazz other trends have become permissible legitimate context post-Soviet reality music. Conclusions. expresses its socio-cultural functions different contexts. Thus, totalitarian space becomes certain locus elite, selected performers opposing general oppression freedom human rights, also carrying out process creative self-expression, declaration will post-totalitarian societies. found symbol aimed at vectors communication defines itself trash culture, or niche character method culture creation.
